Golden Wattle Advocacy Australia Pakistan
Golden Wattle is the national flower of Australia and symbolises the union of yellow (Australian Cricket uniform) and Green (Pakistani flag) colours. Golden Wattle Advocacy Australia Pakistan is a federal digital-advocacy body for Pakistani-Australians on the following:
- Productive Multiculturalism: where Pakistani community members actively take part in Australian community issues and address problems beyond superficial cultural events. This includes a: Translation of resources into various tribal languages of Pakistan. B: Addressing issues of access & legality. C: Engaging in community welfare projects if relevant. D: Acknowledging contribution of Pakistani cameleers, farmers and ANZACs serving Australia for over 160 years since the first cameleer arrived from Balochistan in 1860.
Represent White Pakistan: The “white” part of the Pakistani flag represents Pakistani Minorities. These include representation and advocacy for Pakistani Minorities from racially diverse, religious, non-religious, gender diverse or other affiliations. Recognising and honouring the Indigenous people of Pakistan known as the Kalash, alongside our Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Australians.
- Climate Change: Promoting awareness regarding climate change and its impact on both Australia and Pakistan, as we advocate to preserve a healthy environment and support farmers in both Australia and Pakistan.
